SHAMANIC HEALING
“Drums do not know about race, racism, jealousy, hate, resentment, greed, language, genders, gender choice, human diversity. None of that matters, what matters is inclusivity and the sound of one heart beating.”

What is Shamanism?
shamanism & Shamanic healing is a spiritual practice and one of the oldest forms of healing (some estimate that shamanism originated over 10,000 years ago) and is found in many cultures around the world from ancient times up to the present day. What is shamanism?
Shamanism is a spiritual practice found in cultures around the world from ancient times up to the present day. First and foremost, shamans' practices are practical and adaptable. These practices coexist over millennia with varying cultures, systems of government, and organized religious practices.
Many formalized religions, from Buddhism to Christianity, came from ancient shamanic roots and still bear the shamanic threads of deep connection to the divine in all things. But shamanism itself is not a formalized system of beliefs or an ideology. Rather, it is a group of activities and experiences shared by shamans in cultures around the world. These practices are adaptable and coexist with different cultures, systems of government, and organized religious practices.
Individual practice
Nowadays, in non-indigenous cultures, shamanism is studied and practiced as a life path. Following a shamanistic perspective, individuals seek to be in relationship with the spirit in all things. They seek to use information and guidance from non-ordinary reality to intentionally form their own life experience. This perspective is not inherently contradictory of any religious practice that allows a person to be in direct relationship with whatever they perceive as a higher power.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SHAMANIC HEALING?
Just as in ancient times, contemporary people consult with modern day shamanic practitioners for practical and pragmatic solutions to problems in everyday life-from personal illness, professional challenges, or family discord to ancestral issues.
Shamans work in voluntary, ecstatic trance states, which alter their consciousness to travel to the realms of the invisible worlds. Their ability to gain information and make changes in the invisible realms is dependent upon the working relationships they develop with spirits there. In this sense, shamanism is a relationship-based practice of making changes in invisible realms to impact healing, of individuals or communities, in the realm of ordinary reality.
having many past shamanic lifetimes of my own, i may integrate shamanic skills from different cultures, having being taught celtic, native American, tibetian, & Mongolian traditional practices. I also work within traditions from the essenes, this depends also on which guides from my spirit team choose to assist during any given healing session.
in shamanic healing l take a visionary journey using my drum or rattle into the many alternative realities where l seek guidance and counsel from my spirit guides. these may be spiritual teachers, ancestral spirits, animal guides, beings from the elemental kingdoms, and also on occasions celestial & galactic beings from higher dimensional realms who work to assist me when needed.
at the beginning of each session together we call in protection and guidance from our divine helpers & spiritual guides including those of my client, we then work together to find the root source of the problem and to bring it to resolve.
WHAT IS SOUL RETRIEVAL?
Trauma impacts every facet of a person’s being. From the physical to the emotional, a single traumatic event can be the seed that grows into a lifetime of pain, disconnection, and fear.
In shamanism, a person’s vital, spiritual essence has a way of protecting itself from trauma. During a traumatic event, part of the soul may splinter off to avoid experiencing it.
This piece of the soul would ideally re-integrate once the trauma is over, but this doesn’t always happen. If it remains lost, that loss is part of what causes the long-term effects of trauma.
In a soul retrieval, the healer undertakes a shamanic journey to go get it back and reunite it with the rest of the patient’s vital essence. Once this reunion has taken place, healing can begin.
Many people report feeling better immediately after the soul retrieval. For other people, the retrieval is the catalyst that allows other therapies to work more effectively.re are multiple modern and traditional healing modalities that focus on resolving trauma, and shamanic soul retrieval is one of the most ancient and effective methods.
in shamanism, we heal spirit, not only the body but also soul parts which split off from the soul and head to a place of safety some where within the astral world or within other dimensions. this usually happens as a result of a trauma based event from this current lifetime, or from past lives. we may also inherit ancestral patterns or behaviours that just don’t serve us in this lifetime & need to be healed and cleared.
Vwithout these soul parts our lives often feel disconnected, we know what we want to do and who we want to be, however getting there is a challenge, the natural flow into becoming is hindered. this type of healing is known as soul retrieval, if i and my spirit team can return these soul aspects we will, and if not we can begin the process of healing so that they can return when they are ready.
